I have selected j49:x108 and selected format, conditional format. I select formula is $t49<0 and apply a format. I have values in column t that are less than 0 but no formatting is applied. When I go and look at the formatting that is applied to t55 , for example, it still states $t49.

    How do I fix?

The formula box should contain =$T49<0, not ="$t49<0"

Perfect. Got it to work. Is it possible to – in mass – apply this same formatting to 15 other worksheets simultaneously?

        Thanks.

If you select a series of worksheets (by clicking on the first sheet tab, and Shift+clicking on the last sheet tab, or by Ctrl+clicking individual sheet tabs), then select a range, you can specify conditional formatting for that range in all selected sheets.

I think, if you have already formatted one worksheet, you can select that area, and click on the Format Painter, then select all worksheets as Hans suggested, and click once where the upper left corner begins it will provide the conditional formatting.
