    Hello.
I have some questions about .NET updates for Group B with Windows 7 x64:
    1) Would it be safe to install “Security and Quality Rollup updates for .NET Framework” instead of “Security Only Update for .NET Framework”? Could it be there any telemetry or other bad stuff?
    2) If I would install only all “Security Only Update for .NET Framework” should I install something from dates before there was first “Security Only Update for .NET Framework” (before October 2016)?
Thank you for the answer in advance

Group B is about telemetry in Windows. It does not include .NET, but in fact, Group B recommends installing the .NET Rollups through Windows Update.

There is one thing you should watch for if you decide to do this. The installer for .NET 4.7.2 is also available through WU. I would recommend you hold off installing it on Win7. Temporarily hide the .NET 4.7.2 installer for a later date.

Thank you for the tip about .NET installer. I first installed .NET 4.5.2 and now I installed .NET 4.7.1.

      I have 2 questions:
      1) Is it ok if I installed all “Security Only Update for .NET Framework” (from October 2016 until now) instead of “Security and Quality Rollup updates for .NET Framework” to avoid telemetry etc.?
Or maybe there is no telemetry and other bad things in “Security and Quality Rollup updates for .NET Framework” and maybe there are important reasons to install them?

      2) If I installed all “Security Only Updates for .NET Framework” (from October 2016 until now) should I install something from dates before there was first “Security Only Update for .NET Framework” (before October 2016)?

Thank you for the answer in advance

Installing the Security-only .NET updates is fine.
If there are any other pending updates for the version(s) of .NET installed that are checked in the “important updates” list, it would be a good idea to install them.
