This isn’t a problem – issue as it doesn’t seem to interfere with anything, but it is odd.

For a long time now – multiple Win10 releases – Adobe Acrobat XI Pro (11.0.20) is duplicated in my list of apps  (screenshot attached).   I note this as Edge keeps ‘stealing’ PDF rights and I have to go back and reset them to Acrobat.

This is odd, it seems to me.   I just checked and Firefox is similarly duplicated, as is Outlook.

Slightly different, that Corel PaintShopProX14 and PSP 2022 both show up in this list, although the X14 version I uninstalled years ago (and indeed, it doesn’t show up in the installed programs list).

I would guess this has something to do with registry entries, though I do us a couple of registry cleaner utilities from time to time, to give me something to do  (albeit not to have to fix problems from them – to this point I’ve never had a problem, touch wood).

An interesting issue, if anyone knows what is going on there.

    Thanks  Richard

I think the duplications are for different file type.
Look at default apps by file types.

This doesn’t seem to be the case.

And the same thing is happening on the laptop though this time with three separate instances of Acrobat.

When I open the Acrobat instance to see the associations, the list is identical.   I’ve attached a pdf of the screen shots:  the first is the list with the three, and the subsequent shots the various instances in sequence.  Identical.
