I have “O mapped to my Microsoft Office OneDrive.  Every so often the mapping “gets lost” and I have to go into Security / Custom Level and re-select the User Authentication / Logon (See attached”.

Is there a way to have a shortcut or registry entry that will accomplish this?

I used Sysinternals/TechNet’s small, free, portable Process Monitor (ProcMon) to watch what happened to RegSetValue when I changed the Internet Options > Security > Internet > Custom Level > User Authentication > Logon to Automatic logon with current user name and password (as in your screenshot).

There were 59 RegSetValue changes made to the registry, all in the Zone 3 (Internet) key.

You should be able to achieve what you want by doing the following:

      1. Open the Registry Editor and navigate to the following key:

      HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Internet Settings\Zones\3

      2. Right-click on the ‘3’ key and export the key to a REG file.

      export_internet_zone_settings

Double-clicking on your newly-created REG file and merging the content should have the effect you are hoping for.

(Once you know the REG file does what you want, you can always convert it to an EXE file using a converter then create a shortcut to it.)

      Hope this helps…
