OK, this may or may not make sense, but here goes.
And this may well be a permissions issue rather than a database one.
I have a database in 2003 mdb format.
It is a shared database, and on some machines opens up as expected, which is shared.
Certainly on my login.
BUT, on some machines it opens up with a message to say that it is in exclusive use elsewhere.
As far as we know, it is not opened anywhere as exclusive, and the .ldb file is behaving correctly.
There have been no crashes or corruption.
It appears to only effect some machines.
It may be something to do with thin clients, but
I am not a network administrator, and do not have any control over this.
So, what I am after, is not a solution, it is a suggestion of where to look, to try and pinpoint the cause of the problem,
so we can investigate.
It may be that the permissions to the folder for some people ar set as Read Only.
Any ideas gratefully received.
