Been searching the ‘Net to find an answer to question of having ‘show more restore points’ checked by default. Was unsuccessful. Any one have an idea? Thanks!

      I doubt it. Why?

        I doubt it. Why?

To have more choices presented without having to click on that option.

Do you often go back more than five or ten restore points?

‘Often’ no. Why should that matter? I would like to see the more than 2/3 usually presented.
        Thanks

I believe the “show more restore points” is necessary for any over 5 days old, but I haven’t been able to find any way to eliminate that step (which I guess is a safety catch?).

One of those odd Windows design things. Like all those extraneous settings in the IE options pages. Listen, if “Close unused folders in history and favorites” is a good thing, why have it unchecked as the default? I agree: showing all previous Restore points–in a resizable window–is just common sense. But MS loves to insert extra steps. The whole shut down/sleep/restart issue, as another example, just gets weirder with every new OS.

(I use ResizeEnableRunner, a little program that allows you to resize any static-sized window.)

Thanks, beachboybogart. A ‘design thing’ and I’ll live with it and tell my fingers not to be so lazy….clicking a box is good exercise!
