Simple app to write notes on Android cellphone

I have a MOTOROLA moto g android cellphone. The carrier for my phone is T-Mobil . I want to write notes using some sort of note app. I don’t need lots of features just some basic note app where I can write notes and search for text. I have searched the forums before asking this question but I cannot find any useful posts.

Question: What app would you install on an Android phone to write some simple text notes? Must be able to search the notes for text.

I use Google Keep – Notes and Lists. It can search notes for text.
