sorting grades and marks…please help me.. (excel 97)

Hello again,

I hope you can help me with this sorting problem..
This thing is driving me nuts..Its about sorting the combination
of grades and marks..In my works..first it will looks for the student
with the highest grades..if two students (or more) have the same
grades, it will sort it according to their marks..i’ve already got headache
and flu trying to solve this..lol..plz refer to attachment..many thanks..

ps: if someone can help me solved this thing..i really appreciate it..

The problem was in your code, with the range you selected: b14:x83 and the parameter xlguess: this was taking row 14 to be a header row so not including it in the sort.

I changed that to b13:x83 and xlyes and it now appears to work fine.
I could have used b14:x83 and xlno – I just chose not to.

However, I suspect you want column a to be included in the sort so I also changed it to a13:x83. Let me know if this isn’t okay.
