• Start up macro? (Excel 2000)

Each time I start Excel in the very lower left of the Excel window there appears a file name and a ribbon runs for about 1/100 of a second, so fast I can not read it. The file name begins with an F and may be Funcres, but I can not be sure. I am concerned that some macro might be running. I can not imagine what it would be. This file runs if I just open Excel, or if I open an Excel file. How can I tell what is being run here?

      Don’t worry Jim

This is an add-in that you may have installed, or activated. Go to your Add-Ins under the Tools menu and you can see what add-ins you have asked Excel to access.
