Stop Solver Refreshing Status Bar VBA

I have 2 solver questions, that I cannot resolve

[*]Sometimes Solver (Even though the Constraint is set to Integer).
Will return a decimal number. Is there a way to prevent this?

[*]This is Solver VBA issue
In VBA routine that calls Solver, is there any way to stop solver turning back on Status Bar and screen Updating.
Even if BOTH are turned off prior to calling the solver, Solver
itself turns them back on.
Indeed even making changes to the Solver xla add-in, the original code is regenerated the next time Excel is loaded
Anyone got any idea?
Or are we looking at a Feature?

If you change the code in the add-in, it won’t be regenerated as long as you saved the add-in. (don’t assume that because you clicked the Save button in the VBE, it actually saved…)

Thanks Rory (for answers to BOTH questions).
There was I assuming that when MS told me it was saving it was.

I’ll revisit the changes and saves again.

Shame about that array 65536 limit though (not this thread)

I have modified solver now (silly me) and all appears ok.

How do you change xla?
I’m not familiar with Excel and VBA, but need to stop Solver from updating status bar.
