Well. It appears the Windows 10 update 2004 bit me as well.
I have ten drives split into three Mirrored Spaces.
Y: – 4k sectors, 1.5TB, NTFS, 2-way mirrored, Friendly Name: OneDrive
X: – 64k sectors, 63TB, ReFS, 2-way mirrored, Friendly Name: Movies and Music
Z: – 4k sectors, 15TB, ReFS, 2-way mirror mirrored, Friendly Name: Storage Space
Z: is currently showing as Not initialized in Disk Management
X: is currently showing as RAW in Disk Management
Y: seems to be fine, but since that’s my OneDrive space I don’t care about that one. I care about X: and Z: which has decades of backups, music, movies, photos to include original RAW files from wedding photos, and other archives.\
Powershell Info below.
Note 1: The drive with SN ZCT24KZ3 initially shows up as OK, then it switches to “Lost Communication” after a bit.
Note 2: The drive with SN WG802X99 causes all drives to show, but then HDD activity spikes between 90-100% for about 30 seconds before Windows 10 experiences a BSOD with the PAGE_FAULT_IN_NON_PAIGED_AREA message with ReFS.sys being the culprit, then goes into an endless cycle of reboot and Page Fault BSOD.

I’m trying to recover X: and Z: using ReclaiMe Storage Spaces Recovery (paid $299) and ReclaiMe File Recovery (paid $79.99). SO far it doesn’t look promising. I won’t be using ReFS again; especially since I paid MS twice for the Windows 10 Pro for Workstations just to be able to use ReFS (my motherboard died 1 week after installing it the first time, and MS’s policy is to pound sand at that point. It’s activated online so no serial. )
I’ve tried to be a legitimate user my whole life. I’m about to go full pirate from here on in. Don’t know why I even tried, these corporations clearly don’t care about anything besides maximizing profits at all costs, anyway.
Any insight would be greatly appreciated.
