AskWoody PlusSeptember 19, 2019 at 5:26 pm #1958180I had a random look at an issue from 2010/10/28 (Issue 263).ย In Fred Langa’s article”What to do when a patch won’t install”, at one point he recommends typing the following into a command prompt window:
regย deleteย HKLMSOFTWAREMicrosoftSQMClientย WindowsDisabledSessionsย /va /f
Note that there are no backslashes.ย This is followed by a figure showing the command prompt after this has been typed in – which does show the backslashes.ย I presume that the missing backslashes is some kind of porting problem from the original ??

I don’t believe you have published a change to that original stated policy?

ManagerMay 3, 2021 at 10:33 pm #2362551I’m still deciding on the length of time, ergo why I haven’t published a final policy yet.ย In the meantime the subsite has Brian’s posts available.ย Remember that was Woody’s policy and I’m still determining what’s best for the long term health of the site.ย The site is not advertisement based so I want to make sure that Plus members get a benefit.
