    Win98 2nd Ed.

After un-installing a piece of trial software, I have been left with a errant toolbar in my Task Bar “toolbars” list.

Does anyone know where these values are held in the Registry or how I can remove the value otherwise?

    Many thanks,

    Ade

      It is likely kept at

      HKEY_CLASSES_ROOTCLSID

plus a subkey. Do a search in the registry for the name of the software or toolbar. Just back up the registry before deleting it. When I downloaded UCMore toolbar for IE, it put 2 entries on the taskbar menu & I had to delete one of them.

      Hope this helps.

Thanks – I tried this yesterday, but the toolbar still persisted, despite several re-starts. However, having turned on my PC this morning I found it had gone?!

We got there in the end…many thanks
