Hello,
I am enquiring if there is a good way of putting the attached screen into an excel spreadsheet as l think this
would be a lot easier.
I am finding using Access to do this task a bit cumbersome.
It is difficult to make the screen shot shorter as otherwise it would be awkward to show you the example.
As l know you mentioned you prefer the screenshot to be smaller.

You can create a custom form in Excel which is similar to how you would do it in Access, though access has more control. Here is a little tutorial.
You could also make a worksheet that looks like that but you would have to build all the excel functionality with macros or formuls depending on what you needed.
My impression is that Access gives you much more control and has builtin routines to handle and validate data.
You can also use excels “builtin” data-form but it won’t look like like your example. John Walkenbach has a 
Enhanced dataform that has added functionality though has limited customizability unless you buy the password from him.
