AskWoody MVPApril 17, 2019 at 11:11 pm #528140Both newsletter subscribers & WSL forum users have been moved. I get redirected no matter what Windows Secrets URL I enter.
That’s clearer, i.e both groups have apparently now been moved. Thanks Joe.

AskWoody_MVPApril 18, 2019 at 3:40 am #534555The newsletter subscribers arrived about 3 months ago (abt 13.5k); the WSL forum users have arrived in the last week (abt 95k – incl. the spammers that arrived).
So the newsletter subs dropped from over 400K to 13.5K in the space of what, a year? Man, that’s some fall off a cliff.

But not really a surprise, given the downhill nature of WS article ‘quality’…

GuestApril 18, 2019 at 1:52 pm #548379> “Attempts to visit WindowsSecrets.com now redirects to our Windows Secrets Landing page.”
During the past 2 days or so, when searching for topics about Win OS via search engines, I had clicked on results linking to specific forum topic discussions hosted at the Windows Secrets domain.
Now all the Windows Secrets URLs — regardless of discussion topic — redirect to the same generic AskWoody’s Windows Secrets landing-page, instead of the respective pages as migrated to AskWoody. Is it possible to make the URL redirects more specific ?

ManagerApril 18, 2019 at 1:58 pm #548579As of yesterday, we have imported the Topics from Windows Secrets Lounge. But the posts (replies) just began the import about midday yesterday. We are far from complete, there were over 1,000,000. So links to data that is not here yet, won’t work. It will be a while before we are all together.

That is the plan, which will be a great achievement if it works.
As PKCano says, it’ll take a while, maybe mid-May, before all the WS posts are transferred.
