Of course when I go looking for them, I can’t find any: What are some examples that the VBA code generator won’t record from the user interface?

      Hi ForEachLoop,

      Here’ one:
For a table, you can’t record changing a cell’s margin’s to or from the ‘same as table’ setting. All that will be recorded are the values for the individual margins – nothing about the ‘same as table’ setting. Indeed, you can’t even test that setting in vba, and you can’t change it other than by using SendKeys (which is fairly pointless if you can’t test it beforehand).

      Cheers,

In the older versions of Word, you could visit the Tools > Options and record each of the option settings by showing the screen. Now in Word 2007 and 2010 visiting the options doesn’t record a thing.

In Word 2010, changing a Document Property via the Document Panel records nothing.
