I’m getting repeated error dialogs from Thunderbird (release 14.0) during email downloads. One reads:
There was an error downloading the following message:
    From:
    Subject: [subject line displayed here]
This message may contain a virus or there is not enough disk space. Skip this message?
    [Yes] [No]

    Another reads:
The message could not be filtered to folder “Junk” because writing to folder failed. Verify that you have enough disk space, and that you have write privileges to the file system, then try again.

    And a third reads:
Unable to write to the mailbox. Make sure the file system allows you write privileges, and you have enough disk space to copy the mailbox.

I have deleted the inbox file and its associated MSF file and let Thunderbird recreate them. That seems to have helped, but the top two errors continue to occur.

Another symptom, perhaps related, perhaps not, is that Task Manager oiften reveals multiple copies of the Thunderbird executable running at the same time, usually between two and six copies, depending on how long it’s been since I opened Task Manager and closed all those processes/

Any idea what’s going on and how I can further troubleshoot this?
