Like many here, I avoid the latest clump of Windows 10 bug fixes, which means downloading recent patches from the Microsoft Catalog. To that end, I need help translating the codes for CPUs. One machine that I maintain has an Intel core i5, generation 6, 64 bit.

So, which patches should I download: ARM64 or x86 or x64? Pretty sure its x64, but details of the patches also use the code AMD64. No “intel” anywhere. Does x86 translate to 32 bit CPUs?

Opinion: Yet another reason to dislike Microsoft, making the simple confusing.
