I have been having a problem with FireFox for its last several versions since “Quantum” first came up, including the latest one: the tiles in the home page come filled with links to social media networks in which I do not participate or am interested in joining, so they are not useful to me.
But I have not been able to figure out how to replace them with links to sites I use very regularly.
If someone reads this and knows the answer, please let me know. Thanks.

Could you please share a screenshot of the layout you wish to change?

What have you tried so far? Have you made changes using the Customize screen?

b, A million thanks! The information I got clicking on those links you have sent me was exactly what I needed to know. Now I only have all the tiles I need set to the sites I use the most, for quick and uncluttered access to them

      Kirsty, Thanks.

Here is a screen shot of what my FF home page looks like. It’s from my Mac, but I have exactly the same issue with the Windows version.

      (1) I have not been able to find “customize screen”, but at least I’ve got rid of the newsy announcements that FF was plastering at the bottom of all open tabs other that the home page (sorry, I did not explain that correctly before). And also got rid of the social network links I don’t need and definitely do not want there, in the open tabs. But that is as far as I’ve got.

      (2) I have tried simply dragging down the small site icons on the “favorites” bar to put them in the larger and now empty squares below, but no such luck.

So this is pretty much it.
