Have searched but can’t find answer. Am getting truncated data in a form with several memo fields. There are vertical scroll arrows in the fields, but something is limiting the number of characters that can be entered. Entry just won’t take any more! (Guess it’s fed up.)

My practice is to build forms from queries which are derived from tables. Have traced fields back to the tables and verified that they are in fact memo fields.

The fields refuse to take more than around 240 – 250 characters. Since I haven’t used memo fields much in the past I’m stumped.

Perhaps some of you know of some resources I might check or — even better — know the answer.

    Thanks,

Chances are you have a sort or some other sort of action running against the record source you are using for the form. Any field that is being sorted or otherwise used in any kind of Grouping query will be limited to 255 characters give or take. If that turns out not to be the case repost and we’ll see if we can come up with other scenarios.
