I am helping a friend load a retail version of WIN XP on a HP Pavilion 513G. I have been able to find all the required drivers but I am still getting an problem listing for the Universal Serial Bus (USB) Controller in the Device Manager. The chip is an Intel I845GL. The Device Manager does have STANDARD USB CONTROLLERS properly loaded. Do I need to get the driver for the UNIVERSAL USB Controller or will the STANDARD be ok. If I need to get the driver for the UNIVERSAL USB Controller, where do I look?

WHOAAA – I just figured it out – this is the 2.0 USB driver and it is included in SERVICE PACK 1. I simply went to DEVICE MANAGER and clicked on the listing and then clicked on REINSTALL DRIVER and everything works fine now.

      Thanks anyhow.
