    Hi all.

Is it possible to upload Bloomberg data to Excel spreadsheet ? I would like to link a worksheet to Bloomberg real-time and extract the information for specific data such as closing price, dividends and other corporate events.

    Appreciate your advices.

    cheers, francis

      Hello Francis,

      Back under another name?

I don’t know anything about Bloomberg, but apparently the Bloomberg software comes with an Excel add-in that should do what you want. Perhaps someone else has details.

        Hi Hans,

Forget my last pwd, faster way is to change name and post immediately. You have great memory!

anyway, thanks for your reply. I am trying to create a worksheet to link to Bloomberg data . Hope someone here know how to do it.

        cheers, francis

Can I presume that “bloomberg data” is from an online source. How about a MS Excel Web Query

You may want to have a look here if you have the Bloomberg add-in – there are links at the bottom of the page to a pdf on Getting Started and the Help file for the add-in. If you don’t have the add-in (which I assume comes with their software), you will probably need to use Steve’s suggestion of a web query, though this may require a subscription.
