    I previously asked if one can utilize wushowhide in Windows 11 Pro 22H2.

    @Cybertooth
    helpfully replied:

    If you have a copy of the wushowhide tool on another PC or a flash drive, you can copy it to your new machine and set it without recourse to the Internet, otherwise you will have to go on the Web to find the tool and download it.

    I now came across the below (screenshot) in elevenforum.com:

    So can you or can’t you install it on Windows 11 24H2?  If not what is the easiest alternative to use?  The two apps mentioned in the screenshot appear much more complex to use than wushowhide and appear more invasive into the windows update process.

      I don’t know if it works on 24H2, but WuMgr definitely does.

      cheers, Paul

      Thanks Paul T,

      Before having to learn how to utilize yet another program does anyone else have any feedback on the viability of wushowhide on Windows 11 24H2?

        @Tex265, if you have a copy of wushowhide on another computer (or found one to download from a reputable source), there’s no harm in trying to run it. Worst thing that’ll happen is that nothing will happen.

        I haven’t used that tool in about ten years—since WUMgr came out—so unfortunately I don’t have any experience to share regarding its use in Windows 11.

        Using WUMgr isn’t that hard if you remember how Windows Updates worked in Vista and Windows 7. It has a similar interface. And if you get stuck, there’s plenty of discussions about it here on AskWoody and plenty of folks who can help.  🙂

      I just tested hiding an update on 24h2 with wushowhide.cab and it works properly.
