      Nice one!

BTW… re: the Revamped clock and calendar, you have to set the newly-created DWORD value to 1 (or delete the new key) to get the Standard clock back to where you can adjust the time and date.

I read it last night and it is a good article. Thanks for posting RG

Hi Drew… it’s the Standard clock far right of the Notification Area. The article RG referenced shows on slide 3 a way of revamping it by making a registry edit. Unfortunately you lose the ability to click on a link (in the Standard clock) to Change date and time settings….

      Hope this helps…

Sorry but I don’t know. I changed back to the Standard clock as soon as I realised that the Revamped clock had no additional benefit(s) (for me at least). 🙂

      Hey Guys,

Just Right-Click on the Time in the TaskBar.

Did you, already, them Feedback that function & missing?

No, I haven’t. It seems fairly obvious (to me anyway) that the revamped clock is missing functionality (inasmuch that the registry edit changes it into a big calendar, nothing more) and I suspect that – following the article – Microsoft may be inundated with Feedback about it. 🙂

      Good article, thanks.

Looks like they’re offering a lot of options for how you want the initial interface to look and function. Lesson well learned, hopefully.

If the virtual desktops work well, I’ll upgrade from Win7 for that alone.

      Lugh.

ROFL… and here’s RG to show me I was wrong.

(Mental note to self… must right-click on everything in Win10TP to see what happens!!! :))

Ok, ‘RG’ ( you can see I’ve forgotten your name, sorry).

Rick, pretty sure how you meant that, so not being picky… just to clarify, Rt Clk we’ve always had & that’s the same time/date menu as ever, too. But, yes, Rt Clk will discover heaps of things, 10 & pre-10. In Store APPs it populates all their respective tools.

I was being self-deprecating, i.e. I should have found it out for myself. As such, I thanked RG (RetiredGeek) for the info.

Interesting warning message when you try the setting mentioned in slide 2 of the presentation.
Expand the graphic and read the line under the RED!

The trick in slide 5 for Explorer is ok but I still prefer the old special folder shortcuts, which still work!

      Code:

Ok, thanks anyway. We know that’s not what was meant. As I said I’d forgotten since a a little while ago, when I knew it.. Fair enough if not wanted to remind. No worries. Just my problem… prefer names to computer nic names/user names.
