I have moved to a new computer and loaded A2K Pro. I have built a database in A97 and want to keep running it in 97 until I have time to ‘twitch’ the database enough for it to run in A2K.

I installed A97 in a different folder. It runs the database except for one problem. Date() does not work. I have had to change it all to Now().

Is there a .dll file that A97 is looking for that I can copy from the A2K folder to another folder?

I only installed A97 from the CD. It was pretty minimal. Is there something is Excel or Word97 that I should have also installed?

What is the difference between Now() and Date(). Will it cause me problems down the road.

    Thank you.

Sandy, your problem is one that I have had often. It is caused by a missing reference. To fix, open a code window, click on Tools, click on References. There should be an item in the list identified as “Missing something”. Just uncheck it, close the References dialog, close the code window, and open a form or report that has Date() in it. (sounds like you may have to revise to replace a Now() with a Date().) This should help you.
