I want to change existing accounts to use ‘Sign in with Apple’ if I can. For example, Facebook – can I change that to use signin with Apple feature instead of my hotmail Id? Or my Appleid! Most of my apps Use my email id, can I change them to use this feature so I can hide my email Id? If so, how? Might be more trouble than it’s worth, but I want to hide my email if I can. Thanks

You can Sign in with Apple only on supported sites or with supported apps.
I don’t think Facebook is supporting Sign in with Apple.

Look for Sign in with Apple button.

Do be careful of the inherent risks of such options:

One major downside to single-sign-on schemes that Apple’s new offering can’t avoid is that they create a single point of failure for numerous logins. Single-sign-on acts as a sort of skeleton key to all of your accounts across the internet. Lose it once, and you’re exposed everywhere. Facebook brushed up against this in its September data breach.

      MacRumors have a good write-up:

That is a good point, thank you.  I currently use a password manager that allows me to have control of my database.  I have never used Google or Facebook sign-on just for the reason you mentioned. But I thought Apple created a unique email ID for each logon and that would allow me to minimize my exposure online. But I’ll leave it as is for now thanks.

You are right. Even your email address is hidden unless you choose to sent it with your name.

iCloud and AppleIDs were never hacked.

You can’t migrate existing accounts to Sign in With Apple…yet. You’ll have the option to in iOS 14, if the app developer supports it.
