I occasionally get a Word document that has HTML tags in it. They are typically < em >, < strong >, &lt ; p&gt ; and a few other very simple tags. Is there a macro that will remove that tags AND make the text italic, bold, as indicated by the tag? I’ve written macro code to do this, but I’m wondering if there’s not a simpler way.

    EDIT html to text!

There are a number of online conversion sites, such as https://wordhtml.com/, which work with varying degrees of success.

I suspect there may be a way to manipulate your conversion by saving the .html file as .rtf and opening in Word, saving it as .docx, but I can’t see an easy reference to confirm 🙂
