Patch reliability is unclear. Unless you have an immediate, pressing need to install a specific patch, don't do it. |
I occasionally get a Word document that has HTML tags in it. They are typically < em >, < strong >, < ; p> ; and a few other very simple tags. Is there a macro that will remove that tags AND make the text italic, bold, as indicated by the tag? I’ve written macro code to do this, but I’m wondering if there’s not a simpler way.

There are a number of online conversion sites, such as https://wordhtml.com/, which work with varying degrees of success.
I suspect there may be a way to manipulate your conversion by saving the .html file as .rtf and opening in Word, saving it as .docx, but I can’t see an easy reference to confirm
