I have a computer that has both Netscape and IE loaded. I prefer to use Netscape but do not want to remove IE. Although netscape is set as the default browser, when I click on a web link in an email item in Outlook Express, IE launches the site. How can I change the default browser in Outlook Express to launch Netscape instead of IE.

Same thing here: everything was fine for me until I “upgraded” to 5.5. OE 5.5 and 6 both have the same “default browser bug,” which I’m sure is very low on MS’s bug fix priority list. If you can, go back to OE 5.0. Either that or deal with IE *shudder*

You need to change the file association in Explorer.
The following articles deal with setting up to use IE – hopefully you can simply amend the instructions to use Netscape (or the browser of your choice).
