    Hey Everyone,

I end up building many different VM images of different systems and pushing them around to different clients that have different patching methodologies. On my gold images I pick Semi-Annual, and defer for 365 and 30 so my systems can be provisioned and placed into the customers prospective SCCM / WSUS or manual

On a recent build of Server’16 1607 (14393.3630) created from an ISO pulled down from MS a month ago, the area “choose when updates are installed” is missing. I have poked around and have not found the specific key to turn it back on to the gui, and I don’t want to hard set and of the deferments in the registry.

The public MS doc is less than complete : https://docs.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/deployment/update/waas-configure-wufb

    Any ideas?

PKCano, your guide is great and has a lot of useful bits and advice that I already do!

However, I am looking for a regkey fix to enable the gui because I will need to undo those changes depending on the client’s environment… not that I can’t do it but getting on prem procedures updated and tested is a pain.
