    Hi,

We have a multi user database with 15 users with a SQL backend and Access Front End.

On situations where more than one person has been in the same form / record at the same time as another user we get a box that comes up to ask if we want to disregard the changes, copy them to the clipboard, etc. This will usually result in someone losing their changes, which can be extremely frustrating.

How do I get around this?

The usual resolution to this issue is to add a “timestamp” field to the SQL Server tables. If that isn’t an option, then you will typically have to resort to locking the record in the Access options.

We already have a timestamp field in the SQL tables and still we have the issue.

Then I think the only option is to set the record locking option in your Access front-end to lock the record as soon as a user opens the record.
