    Recently, a new tab pops up in the Firefox browser (v 93) whenever I open a pdf file that is stored on my laptop. This is something new! How can I get FF to stop doing this?

      Have you associated .pdf file extension with Firefox in Settings\Apps\Default Apps and the link to file types?
