Hard to imagine what patching Windows 8 will be like, if MS can’t even get .NET 3.0 patched correctly.InfoWorld Tech Watch.

I know I am unique, but I haven’t had all these bad experiences with .NET patching or use which Susan Bradley keeps complaining about. In fact, 64-bit .NET 3-4 and Paint.NET offer a very good and fast way to edit photos and images. The only other 64-bit program I knowingly run (except security programs) is NitroPDF, and it also is fast and efficient in 64 bits. Like I say, I am unique.

woody: I wonder if Microsoft will ever issue new service packs for .NET Framework versions 2.0, 3.0, 3.5 & 4.0. I hate having to download all those new non-security & security .NET patches.

Frankly, I’m better off waiting for a .NET Framework 3.5 SP2 and 4.0 SP1 to come out.
