GuestOctober 11, 2015 at 8:38 pm #49783I haven’t been forced to the edge of the cliff with Windows 10 imposing itself on any of my Win7 systems, but I suggest that folks strongly consider avoiding any updates described as “Windows Client Update”. Those updates appear to have no security significance, but they do have other potentially unwanted side effects (one such August patch eliminated Windows Update notifications on five of my Windows 7 computers; those notifications were restored once the offending Windows Client Update patch was uninstalled).
Given that Microsoft provides no useful description of recent “Windows Client Update” patches, it’s natural to infer that those updates benefit Microsoft without benefiting Windows users at all.

AskWoody PlusOctober 13, 2015 at 11:45 am #49790My bad too, I was intending to direct my comment to the original post from SteveA. I should have made that clear. Even in a forum you have to use a member’s forum name to direct a comment to a particular person. The Windows Secrets Lounge is like that.
Even astrophysicist Carl Sagan when speaking astronomically used Billions, not Trillions. -
