WLM Windows Live Mail Duplicates Prevent and remove existing GMAIL

As the subject says., I have duplicates created in my inbox that I want to prevent and delete the existing. Assistance appreciated

Are the duplicates being created when checking for new messages? Could be they are not deleting from the server when first downloaded, it’s a setting in most E-Mail Clients for one way or the other. Or are the same messages going to all of your accounts?

I have 3 accounts. Two are POP accts and the offender appears to be the other IMAP acct. Which is better?????
They all read in WLM “Unerad Mail” and I get 2 copies of each on the IMAP and there is somethig weird. Sometimes the 2nd one doesn’t appear unitl I goto the inbox.

The other problem is how to remove the dups without buying 3rd party software??
