Is there a trick WITHOUT using VBA to persuade Excel 97 SR-2 to dynamically set the _minimum_ value of the x-axis of a XY chart to start at/”just before” the minimum value of the x values ? Background: The minimum value depends on the calculated values / used units and I hate having to finetune it manually everytime I change the input. Everything else is linked (titles, axis titles, series textboxes, etc.).

      hello cri

I don’t think you can link the minimum value of the axis because it is based on the data itself. But maybe you can have a cell that does not get charted that has a value that the chart can be fooled into using.

Maybe someone has a better solution.

Wassim, thanks for tackling this one. A separate cell does not help, actually it was what I tried as I want to start before the minimum value as I need some space for the descriptors ( I hate series legend tables)
