I now also use the Leawo Blu-ray Player on my Win10 22H2 which works so good for playing Blu-ray discs that I purchased a license for it!

I finally did a reinstall then once the dust settled, I restored all my stuff from Windoze_Old, deleted window$_Old. I ran chkdsk and then went on with my image backup. So far all is well.

I created a shortcut on my desktop to the offending directory, then opened it. I added that location to Quick access in exploder. I right-clicked on that shortcut and picked delete. I went back to the desktop shortcut and tried to open the location, and got a message that the location no longer exists.

Why does Micro$oft make it so easy to screw up and so difficult to fix?

If they ever removed all the bugs from windoze there wouldn’t be anything left!

I put my removable drives in enclosures with ON-OFF switches (and fans) so when I’m not using the drives, they’re off and there’s no more problem.

As I recall I was using XCopy for backups. I’ve found a much better option, and haven’t had the issue since.

I gave up on the old clunkers!

I’ve tried a Conexant USB Voice Data Fax, a US Robotics 5637 Voice Data Fax, and a US Robotics 5639 Data Fax, which never gave me any trouble before. I’d prefer to use one of the voice modems but they’ve seemed to be even more recalcitrant.

I’d also like to know who Micro$oft decided my administrator is! I’ll cancel that account in a minute!

No yellow triangles in Device Manager.

When I insert a blank disc it shows it has 22.5GB free.

So I guess the problem is that VLC, MS Movies & TV, Windoze Media Player, can’t see a BluRay movie disc. I never had this problem with DVDs.

So I guess I’m off to go find a BluRay player for Windoze.
