My UVerse modem/router has only static assigning, no “reserve” setting. I have always assigned statics to most everything on the network I want to be permaent, such as the box running the testing server.

What ‘conflicts down the road’ would show up?

That was interesting… Scottie’s reported that my NAS is the master. Not my main personal tower, which has always been the master for the network (including my home business computers). The NAS is fairly recent, so I don’t know what changed it or when. The tower’s on 24/7 as well as the NAS and most are running 1909 (except the NAS of course).
