      Thanks a lot MarkD! That answered my question!

      I was right-clicking on the (desktop) shortcut and trying to enter the path to the file in [Target:]. It was always grayed out. MarkD answered my question with the link he gave me. I have to create my own shortcut and not use the default shortcut the program provides. Once I created my own shortcut, I could enter the path to the file and it opens the database I want.

      Thanks a lot for that suggestion HansV, and thanks for the correction on the Bible Request Form. I discovered yesterday that what I had in there didn’t work. Now, I am planning on building my form similar to how Northwind has it in their sample database. Is there someway that I can make the different addresses work on the one form using the example that HansV gave in the last post? I am still in the beginning stages of this database so the form isn’t complete with the subform for products, etc. Appreciate any help or suggestions. I don’t know VBA very well, so I may have a lot of questions.

      I know I have resurrected an old post, but I wanted some ideas on how I should proceed. I have included an empty database with the tables of the different kinds of addresses I need. I really need the structure they are in. How can I use 1 order form for all of them?

    • in reply to: query (Access2000) #836313

      I realized that I posted an SQL that I had done today as I was trying to get through this. I pulled the below SQL out of a backup and tested it and it still gives me the same message. Is the underscore “_1” a problem? That is not the name of my query and I don’t remember making any duplicates of it. Any help would be appreciated. I’m learning Access.

      SELECT [dataInt Tract Totals_1].Country, Sum([dataInt Tract Totals_1].[SumOfTract Totals]) AS [SumOfSumOfTract Totals], Sum([dataInt Tract Totals_1].Packages) AS SumOfPackages, Sum([dataInt Tract Totals_1].Count) AS SumOfCount
      FROM [dataInt Tract Totals] AS [dataInt Tract Totals_1]
      GROUP BY [dataInt Tract Totals_1].Country;

      It’s not a big deal to me, I’ve just noticed that and wondered about it.
