Glad the fix works for you. (I simply don’t load the stylesheet if the Browser isn’t IE!)

I will certainly be collecting a few Bookmarklets, too. They’re a clever idea.

I’ve cracked the problem with Netscape here!
You no longer need to turn off stylesheets. I’ve put a trap in the code so it doesn’t blow Netscape up any more.

Yup I’m the board architect. I actually started up the original website – “old but… still works like a charm” most definitely applies to me.

I love wwwthreads, the software the Lounge is based on, and hacking extra features into it is one of my favorite obsessions. Have you tried the external SpellChecker.Net? It works whatever language you are using!

Javascript is incredibly useful. Maybe you should post that Bookmarklets link on the Javascript board here so everybody can see it and also ask if anybody knows any code to toggle Netscape’s stylesheet setting.

TextPad is my favorite too. I use it all the time to build the Lounge.

Nope. If you don’t have it checked, none of my lovely Javascript will work. For instance, you wont be able to click a tag to insert it into your post.

I’d never even consider *anything* VB – I hate the whole bunch of ’em.

Cross-browser issues are vry well dealt with – there’s a very active community of Javascript addicts who always keep abreast of any problems that might arise.

Without a doubt – Javascript! I use it all the time. You’ll find it liberally sprinkled throughout the Lounge.

Is there a Javascript on/off switch in IE? I’ve never looked because it’s always run for me and I’ve never wanted to turn it off.

I took 6 off because it was blowing my machine. What’s the optimum width for the text area in there now? (So I can trap for it.)
