Is this any different from your 8/27/22 post to get a copy of Windows 21H2.iso, i.e., if we have already done that, do we need to do this in addition?

Susan, now I’m really confused. Do we want to install 22H2 or not?

Susan, Can we accomplish the same thing with Wushowhide (and Stopupdates1), e.g.,  use the to install 22H2 only when you say so?

2nd MS recommendation worked for me.

My situation is similar and I think very common: wired Ethernet LAN with one ethernet Network; don’t use any of the 5 systems for a hotspot. However, Win services shows ICS is enabled/Manual trigger by default (is that necessary?)

However, looking in Settings > Network & Internet > Mobile hotspot, I see Mobile hotspot is Off but with mobile hotspot defined using the computer network via wifi and with a name and password assigned.

Should I disable ICS in Win services? What about the update?

None have been installed.

Hi John,

Since the free Opatch does not work, I was asking if there was another way to do the 0-day patch via GPE. Apparently, one has to buy the paid version of Opatch. All the free version does is show the patches available.

Since free Opatch does not apply patches, do you have a reference from the Group Policy Deferral method?

Log shows “791 new patches received.”  Does “received” mean “applied”?

Thanks for the explanation. The problem is that whether is runs (syncs) or not, the free version of Opatch does not download/update any files. All it does is show “patchable modules”. So the free version is worthless.

Susan, the free version does not seem to sync or download patches. It just shows what patches are available. MSCOMCTL.OCX is in red.

The shield shows about 70 patches as available but none were downloaded.

Log: “2022/06/09 16:55:55 Module Scanner found 7 new patchable modules (may be duplicates) on the system” but I don’t see that I got this Folina patch or any other. I think this free program may not allow download or sync but just shows what’s available to buy.

I don’t see an option to sync.

Do you run the Console periodially?

Susan, how does one know if system has synced up and downloaded patches and how long to stay in console?
