Just wondering if you’ve encountered any issues since uninstalling Edge (via MSEdgeRedirect ) and WebView2 Runtime. ??

I’d like to do the same but I’m put-off by the list of issues for MSEdgeRedirect esp issue #367.

Heads up! Some are saying after applying MSEdgeRedirect, Settings won’t open, etc. ?? Caveat emptor!

December 28, 2023 at 6:34 pm in reply to: Windows December Update KB5033372 – never got it #2615800

Thanks again. I have no idea how “Build 19045.3803 = KB5033372” – where do I find an explanation of that?

Also a bit disconcerting that update history is inaccurate and/or incomplete – does not instill user confidence.

So, I take that to mean I can ignore the prerequisite – correct?

Been a very satisfied KeePass user for years with no problem.

      Two “must-have” features I require:

      1. Open-source
      2. Not cloud-based – no internet connection required

Nope. Mullvad does not have any “meta-data” to “hand over”. No customer information. No customer data. Period.

I disagree. I’ve been a Mullvad user for over six years and have never had a reason to look elsewhere.

I suggest anyone shopping for a VPN service read Mullvad’s Policies and any or all of their hundreds of Blog posts, esp those related to privacy.  Then decide.

September 26, 2023 at 3:22 pm in reply to: Why File Explorer keeps me on Windows #2589801

I’ve been a Windows user for many years and never been a fan of Windows Explorer.

For anyone seeking an alternative file manager, I recommend xplorer². Been a user for ~11 years.

Of course, there are many other 3rd-party file managers out there but xplorer² was my pick. Simply my personal choice.

      Amen brother!

‘Everything’ is the ticket! I have no idea how any Windows user could live without it – an absolute “must-have” piece of software. I use it every single day and I’d say it’s the #1 most useful program on my PC. (No, I’m not the author, just an average-Joe user).

If you don’t run ‘Everything’ on your PC now, download and install immediately – you won’t regret it! (yes, it’s free!)

I use ‘Everything’ to search system files. No indexing needed.

      Ditto that!!

‘Everything’ is the solution for all this MS Search garbage.

I’ve been using ‘Everything’ for years and years with no problem whatsoever – and it provides instantaneous results! Absolutely awesome software!

Turn-off/disable indexing on all your drives and use ‘Everything’!!
