• Patch Lady – USA taxpayers get an extra day

    A bit of offtopic news tonight.  For those of you who live in the USA and haven’t yet filed your tax return… you are in luck.  Firstly Microsoft hasn’t released the big feature release that might have impacted your tax filing and then secondly the IRS had a big meltdown today and had to reboot their servers.  (Seriously that’s the word we got that they had to do a hard reboot of their systems).

    As a result they are giving everyone an extra day to file your tax returns.  You now have until midnight on April 18 to efile.

    Wouldn’t that be a fun job?  Taking care of the IRS computers and trying to patch and maintain them!
