      March 21, 2019 at 3:14 am in reply to: Microsoft issues KB4493132 Windows 7 SP1 support notification #343901

      Since no one has ever taken MICROSOFT to court over $Trillions of damages due to buggy updates, BSODs, crashed Windows PCs, crashed networks, forced Windows 10 upgrades… no one will take them to court over some Windows 7 nagging.
      The only time Microsoft lost in court in recent years was when customers demanded refund of Windows OS license after not agreeing to Windows EULA or formatting Windows OS on new PCs. Customers got $50 as refund.

      Interesting read from Microsoft ;

      “Reminder: March 12th and April 9th will be the last two Delta updates for Windows 10, version 1803. Security and quality updates will continue to be available via the express and full cumulative update packages. ”

      I use the latest Intel DCH drivers (i7-8750H) on my 1803 Windows 10 with the same settings as the OP, and still no 1809.

      …delete UNACEV2.DLL or rename the file.
      Total Commander also uses UNACEV2.DLL.

      Remember to delete/rename from your system backups as well.

      “1803 has now been declared Semi annual (ready for business).”. 1803 ? or did you mean 1809 which isn’t declared as ready for business yet.

      March 16, 2019 at 3:05 am in reply to: GWX Redux: We’re going to get “upgrade to Win10” nag notices in Win7 #342180

      You got your answer from Microsoft :

      While you could continue to use your PC running Windows 7, without continued software and security updates, it will be at greater risk for viruses and malware. Going forward, the best way for you to stay secure is on Windows 10. And the best way to experience Windows 10 is on a new PC. While it is possible to install Windows 10 on your older device, it is not recommended.

      Although, if your computer is more than three years old, it might be time to consider upgrading to a new device.

      “If you don’t control your system, then it’s not your system”

      BUT, it is not your system and never was. You have surrendered “your” system by signing Microsoft’s EULA.
