AskWoody Lounger@gborn:ย This is with reference to the Yahoo suddenly not having a “contacts” list anymore.ย Am I the only one who has noticed this?ย Yahoo apparently has changed its format without notifying its users?
Crazy question with everything floating around about all of the version “W” problems.ย Now to search for a new e-mail sender.ย ย It only gets crazier and crazier.

AskWoody Lounger@PKCano:ย I’ve read a whole lot of information, and I feel certain that a lot of it does not apply to my Win 7, x64, Home Premium, (group A) which is a “bare bones” set up with as few complex programs, etc., as necessary.ย ย This is a “real masterpiece” of work, I can see that.
Although I don’t understand a whole lot of it, there are some portions I do.ย ย Thank you for all of the time you have expended using your AMAZING and outstanding knowledge of computers. ย ย Every member appreciates your wonderful expertise which you so very freely share with us all. ย ย ๐

AskWoody Lounger@mn:ย Noted your comment, and hope that all will continue to go well with that KB4507449.ย ย I am unable to attempt to do that one (because of its telemetry, and I have no way to create an off computer back-up).ย ย ย Good luck to you with this!

AskWoody LoungerAugust 9, 2019 at 1:25 pm in reply to: MS-DEFCON 4: Time to get the July 2019 patches installed #1905941@SueW:ย ย Isn’t the KB4507449 (Monthly Quality Rollup for Win 7 for x64, the one that has the “telemetry” cooked into it?ย I’m sure there are many who are having nightmares about what will transpire, “if and if it’s NOT” downloaded and installed.
It would be interesting to get an idea of how many are taking the risk of installing this one versus not installing.ย ย Thank you for posting the information..

AskWoody Lounger@PKCano:ย ย ย Thank you so much for the guidance you have provided.ย I have everything “done”, other than the KB4507449 which I am very reluctant to “attempt” to install, as I do not have a “back up” computer to utilize for that purpose.
I am concerned that I will be “left out” of important updates if I don’t install it, and even more concerned that if I install it without have a “separate computer backup”, it could wreak havoc on the computer.ย ย Thus far I’ve been very fortunate to have escaped a total “disaster”.
Thank you once again for your most appreciated guidance.ย ย ย You are a “TRUE STAR”!!

AskWoody LoungerAugust 7, 2019 at 11:04 am in reply to: MS-DEFCON 4: Time to get the July 2019 patches installed #1904702After reading all of the comments relevant to this untenable situation, I can only feel that “we who are totally non-computer literate” are “up the proverbial creek without any kind of paddle”.ย ย I don’t want to wait too long, however don’t know which way to jump at this point in time, and I think there are many others who have this lack of “experience and computer knowledge” to deal with it all.ย ย Good luck to us all, and I’m thankfulย there are so many who have the outstanding knowledge and experience to share with us.
