Correct – resolved doesn’t prevent new posts (like closed does) – it does help people to know that the question is not still needing help though 🙂

My apology. I inadvertently used the word “closed”, when I should have used “resolved”. My bad – please forgive me.

I don’t remember ever having a moderator mark one of my threads as Resolved.

On many, many occasions, the work of the moderator included marking such topics as closed when it was apparent, or when the topic became the target of spam comments etc. It’s one of a large number of tasks that were undertaken manually, behind the scenes 🙂

How can you tell it was you that set the topics to Resolved, rather than done by a moderator?

While the function has been there since the early days of The Lounge, I believe the facility was only available to moderators, not for users to access themselves? 🙂

      I could make that work…

      In cell A1: “23/02/2022 1:23:00 a.m.” (cell format H:mm)
      In cell A2: “22/02/2022 10:00:00 p.m.” (ditto cell format)
In cell B2: “=+A1-A2” Result: 3:23 (ditto cell format)

A quick online search suggested it’s not something Excel does without some form of add-in (usually premium…).

I dare say there would be a VBA formula to address the situation, if one was to get knee-deep into it 😉
      Good luck!

Preview in the text editor has been an oft-requested feature, since the introduction of the Lounge. Like all other requests for the feature, 5 years on and the answer remains the same…

November 14, 2021 at 2:22 pm in reply to: This is not a scam : Microsoft sending $100 gift cards #2401520

      Per a Microsoft spokesperson:

To help spread holiday cheer, Microsoft Store has surprised a total of 50,000 U.S. customers with virtual gift cards via email. 25,000 customers will receive a $100 Microsoft Gift Card while 25,000 others will receive a $10 Microsoft Gift Card ahead of this holiday season. These randomly selected recipients can redeem their gift card on Microsoft Store through December 31, 2021 and spend it within 90 days of redemption.

Mark as Read is not a standard option in BBPress. You’ve not overlooked something obvious.

You can also report malspam to blacklists such as Cleantalk. Where an email address has already been marked as spam in cleantalk, you can add details of your contact at the bottom of the page; if it hasn’t been previously reported as spam, use the Report IP link, where you can also report on email addresses.

Additionally, the IP address found in the header can similarly be added to blacklists. See WhatIsMyIPAddress.com’s Trace Email page.

Earlier questions about downloading newsletters have already been asked previously ( a site search would have found them). This one may help:
